What Sets Us Apart?
If there is one thing that separates Spirit Forged CrossFit from other strength and conditioning programs, it is our dedication to our client's needs and our community spirit.
We work hard to develop a family atmosphere and it is our opinion that this factor is a critical element, on equal footing with coaching, technique and programming, The emphasis on community is changing the mental health of the members at our gym and has given us the capability to impact the greater community in general. Communities form at CrossFit gyms in the most random ways. People from all walks of life end up in a class together. They sweat together, suffer together, work hard on weaknesses together, and celebrate successes together. Through these shared experiences they become friends and walls are broken down, helping to change the world one fit athlete at a time.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life in general reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. This includes any type of human movement you may see in everyday life such as squatting, running, jumping, lifting/carrying objects, climbing, throwing, etc. These types and patterns of movements have been ingrained in our DNA as human beings and are often neglected in today's society.
In life and in sport, the body must work together as a unit to complete a task. In CrossFit, we use compound functional movements to train our body to work together as a whole to better ourselves in sport and in life's tasks.
"Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."
